2. Hypertext terminology
 1) node: a 'chunk' of information that corresponds to a natural 'semantic unit'
 2) link: an association between nodes

  - can only be followed in the forward direction
  - can only connect a pair of nodes
  - Embedded Links: links are embedded in web pages
  - First Class Links: separates links from nodes
  - Bidirectional Links
  - N-ary Links
  - Generic Links
  - Functional Links

 3) anchor: the representation of a link on a node
 4) endpoint: a component of a link that references an anchor on a node
